Sisters around the world

Sisters around the world

“Today, as at the origins of the Congregation, the love of Christ urges us to look at the urgency of the present in order to be at the service of life. »

Two hundred years of walking in the Church. We first respond to calls from the dioceses of France, then pushed by historical events, we cross borders. At a time when the Church invites the evangelization of all peoples, we too, like many others, are leaving for Africa and the Americas.

And the mission continues. Mission of Incarnation, of presence, of insertion among people, of proximity, of solidarity with the people, there, where we are sent... Engaged in education, training, care of the sick, support of human and Christian communities.

Mission of Incarnation which, following our founders, keeps us constantly concerned for the poorest. At school, in neighborhoods, villages, associations, the sisters awakened the desire to live from the same spirit of Incarnation that animates them...

Can we keep this wealth for ourselves?

Today, it supports men and women, young people, families around us.

Thus, in 2001, in Chile, lay people celebrated the twenty years of the founding of the first fraternity of the Incarnation. Other fraternities and various groups live from the spirituality of Incarnation in France and in other countries.

In the Congregation, together, every five years, we look at the progress we have made and, letting ourselves be led by the Spirit of the Lord, we discern priority directions:

“Dare to take one more step to live more unitedly according to the Gospel. Experiencing the richness of internationality…

Women of communication, let’s take the step of interculturality,

Women of compassion, let us set out with the excluded,

Women of contemplation, let us reveal the God of life…”
