Sisters around the world
"Today, as at the origins of the Congregation, the love of Christ urges us to look at the urgency of the present in order to be at the service of life."
Two hundred years of walking in the Church. At first, we responded to calls from dioceses in France, then, spurred on by the events of history, we crossed frontiers. At a time when the Church is calling for the evangelization of all peoples, we too, like many others, are setting out for Africa and the Americas.
And the mission continues. Mission of Incarnation, of presence, of insertion in the midst of people, of proximity, of solidarity with peoples, wherever we are sent... Committed to education, formation, care of the sick, support of human and Christian communities.
A mission of Incarnation which, following in the footsteps of our founders, keeps us constantly concerned for the poorest of the poor. In schools, neighborhoods, villages and associations, the sisters have awakened the desire to live the same spirit of Incarnation that animates them...
Can we keep this wealth for ourselves?
It is the lifeblood of the men and women, young people and families around us.
In Chile in 2001, lay people celebrated the 20th anniversary of the founding of the first Incarnation fraternity. Other fraternities and groups in France and elsewhere are living the Incarnation spirituality.
Every five years, as a Congregation, we look back at how far we've come and, letting ourselves be led by the Spirit of the Lord, we discern our priorities:
"Daring to take one more step towards living in solidarity according to the Gospel. Living the richness of internationality...
Women of communication, let's take the risk of interculturality,
Women of compassion, let's set off with the excluded,
Women of contemplation, let us reveal the God of life... "
