Following Louis-Marie Baudouin
Let us take the century as the Revolution gave birth to it: we are entering a new era!
These are the words ofLouis-Marie Baudouin, a priest from Vendée, our founder, around 1800, at the end of the French Revolution. He was aware of having to adapt to a new era. The needs of the men and women of his generation constituted for him one of the fundamental criteria for engaging religious in various ministries. Passionate about the Scriptures, in the Gospel, the mystery of the Incarnation fascinated him. He saw in this mystery of the Father's love for the world, with its riches and its miseries, a whole school of life and prayer. He said he wanted to put his religious “in the school of the incarnation”. Following him, we seek to discover the presence and action of God in all human experience, in everything that is done today to build a more human world.
“We are attentive to the seeds of the Word, mysteriously hidden in all human experience”

Racines
The first religious people around the founder focused on training young people in seminaries. Louis-Marie Baudouin also wanted itinerant missionaries to revive Christian communities and parishes damaged by the Revolution.

Today
A mission that adapts
Sons of Mary Immaculate, today, in Africa, the Antilles, Venezuela, Quebec, France, we adapt to new needs while keeping our first missionary orientation of educational activity, particularly in the formation of Christian communities, preferably among the poor. Our life project aims to help us live our vocation as Sons of Mary Immaculate, which is to let ourselves be penetrated by the Spirit of Jesus.

Like Father Baudouin, we have been and we are at the service of the diocesan Church.
